Duh - you can pay cash for a visa card - one you buy like at target - if you need to use credit for anything. Cash is not 100% going to go away at least in the near future.
He may have two wives in different states. Maybe he's defaulted on his child support. He could be in the Witness Program. Or he could be an escaped inmate. The possibilities are endless.
Everyone here accepts cash and because of the fees involved with cards, many establishments have signs saying what their minimum purchase with a card is. I really feel for the older people who don't have cell phones or computers and are left out of many options. I know of some who were refused entrance at restaurants when digital QR codes were the only way they were allowed in. That was a provincial rule, so it depended on where you lived.
Cheques! I can't remember the last time I used one. I never see cheques at the supermarkets or department stores. They feel so antiquated now. We also got rid of our penny - they should do away with nickels and dimes, too.
