So I have seen this for what seems like forever .... A thread title that is odd or seems obvious if you open it ..instead of seeing a unusual paragraph or more of a questions or some personal dilemma... You see a large list of links. They are often associated with a sporting event or some recent movie or series.
I just close the thread and ignore it. It is obvious to me you probably don't want to click any of the links. I never gave it much thought..but more out if curiosity... What is the purpose of these threads? What is the poster trying to accomplish?

Those are spambots at work. I'd guess that somebody makes money, assuming we click on the links and pay for the service.
