Our puppies are due this week and we have a pool about what day they're coming. The correct guesser gets to name the first pup. I am torn between three names.
1. Stupe Doggy Dogg
2. Dammit
3. Kitty
You could name him "Diojee." Said like "d-o-g."
If I ever get my own dog, I'm naming it a real person's name, like "Frank."
How about "Stain?" You could yell out the door "Come, Stain!"
When these dogs arrive on Thursday, what breeds will they be?
Jim and Orrel
Reuben and Verne
These are good North Carolina names, informal, but not derrogatory like Opie or Bubba.

Half blue tick lemon beagle, half Brittany Spaniel. We call them Speagles.
i like stupe doggy dog...
i do like stain though, slappy that was classic...
Hehe - girl cub and I have both bet on Thursday. Hope you're right, farmerman. We are expecting 4 -5.
We also considered (briefly) naming them after Rocky Horror characters. (Magenta, Columbia, Rocky, Riff Raff, Frankenfurter.)
Which day of your week is the most complicated with appointments and affairs that depend on the scheduling whims of other people?
This is when the little speagles will choose to be born.
Bear
Bear, how about "Bear With Me" for all the mischief to be anticipated?
My children once had two dogs named Bonnie and Clyde. Another was named "Poo Foo", after my son's Bantam rooster that a neighbor shot; apparently didn't like the early morning crowing.
BBB
I've always wanted to name a pet dog "**** head".
They probably will arrive on Wednesday, the 3rd.
What's wrong with the Addams Family?
Pubert
Fester
Gomez
Pugsley
I like Stupe doggy dog too, but it would get shortened and I sort of quail at always calling a dog Stupe, seems a little mean or maybe self fulfilling.
Stupe, hmm, how about Sloop, or Slurp...
blue tick lemon - those are pretty words... blue lemon, blueman, lubey, blubby, blubula, oh, never mind.
We also thought about keeping it simple so we don't get attached:
One
Two
Three
Four
Five
Then there's a "G" theme goin between Mom and Dad Dog who are named Gracie and Gus. We could go with Gump, Gimp, Goober, and Gomer.
My dog's names are Tammy Faye Bakker and Sister Bertryl (the flying nun) so might I suggest disgraced and fictional religious figures as name inspiration?
Dayum. Speagles.
Something houndy.
George, George, George, George, and George. That will make it easy to remember their names.
Grits, Grumps, Grimey, Greasy, Goolash, Gloria, GladysKnight...
i wanted to name a dog Bitch , or Satan.
I have a friend who named her dog Loretta after telling her a thousand times to "get back".
That made me think that perhaps famous girls from songs would make good names for your dogs.
I'm betting Bear knows a million lyrics about girls.

Hey now you just hol' on thar a cotton pickin' minit. I done named ma cat Bubba when I was a-living down in Cokercreek (Tennesssee). I cant be a-sayin' as ta how any thang dee-rogotory could be done picked up from that thar name.
(My apologies to my former neighbors of the southern realm)
Hmmm. Girls from songs...
Rosie (Whole Lotta Rosie - AC/DC)
Angie (The Stones)
Black Betty (Ram Jam)
Cecilia (Simon & Garfunkle)
Iris (Goo Goo Dolls)
