Can two-column geometric proofs be proven using numbers in place of written language? In other words, can I prove the problem below using numbers instead of the two-column "Statement vs Reason" usually taught in high school?

Question:

Given: Triangle ABC is a right triangle with right angle 3.

Prove: Angle A and angle B are complementary angles.

&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

Yes, I am suppose to make a column.
On one side, we have STATEMENT and on the other REASON.
Can I prove that Angle A and angle B are complementary angles using numbers in place of the two-column method?

If I understand what you're asking, you do in fact have numbers; they go on the statements side. However, you also state how you got them on the reason side.

hey
I wanted to know if there is a way to solve geometric proofs without using theorems and postulates and the answer is NO according to another tutor.
