expansion of the universe

If spacetime is expanding and accelerating, wouldn’t it make sense that the Universal Constants would also change in a proportional relationship with the expansion?

This hypothesis is pretty easy to rule out with astronomical observations. If this were the case, we would notice it in our study of other galaxies. We have quasars (for example) meaning we can correlate distance and time.

If fundamental constants were changing we would detect it in yhese studies.
