@Mame,
No Mame, you are missing the point.
There is
no simple narrative that fits all of the facts. There a wide range of beliefs and goals and stories. If you are looking for a simplistic story; Whites are racist, Blacks are victims, you are going to have problems with the actual facts. The facts turn out to be more complicated than an absolute ideological narrative can hold.
If I am an extremist on anything, it is on Free Speech. I believe that other than clear examples of imminent threats or slander, people should be allowed to express any view no matter how much it offends anyone. Feminists, Socialists, Anarchists, and Nazis all should be protected by free speech. If I am offended by any of them, that is my problem.
I bring up the Black Lives Matter example because to challenge the idea that White people should have fewer free speech rights than people of color. It is far from a fringe... anti-Israel sentiment is pretty common on the left, and the line between opposition to Israel and antisemitism is often blurry.
The answer isn't to protect people from being offended. These issues are complicated and involve legitimate often conflicting interests of real people It is impossible to do real work in changing society without offending people.
Freedom of expression is a basic human right. It belongs to everyone.
