@izzythepush,
Johnathon Swift and indeed Oscar Wilde were like myself Dubliners, both colourful characters and both blessed with that Dublin wit.

Swift would be spinning in his grave to know that a bland obnoxious twit was quoting him.

He's buried in St Patricks Cathedral, I think I should pay him a visit to reassure him that all is not lost.

@eurocelticyankee,
I really enjoyed Swift, Gulliver’s Travels has parts that could have been a Python sketch. I was thinking of the bit where people needed to be hit on the head with a balloon so they’d know it was their time to talk.

I present exhibit A. Jack Nicholson in the 1960/61 original Little Shop of Horrors. (his character went to the dentist and made clear he was up for some pain)

@Sturgis,
Bill Murray played the same character in the musical.

@maxdancona,
1. The points that you have made are indeed valid.

2. I have nothing against the points you have articulated.

3. With all of that being said, the point I am making is Oralloy is simply a dumb person.

4. If you actually believe Oralloy's repeated lies about having a high IQ, that's your prerogative.

5. I genuinely don't believe Oralloy.

6. And I'm sure I'm not the only one who share that belief.

@gustavratzenhofer,
Well, hello stranger. Not meaning you're any stranger than anyone else around here. Well, maybe just a few. . . .

@Real Music,
I don't really care about Oralloy's IQ, or Izzy's IQ, or anyone else's IQ.

I care far more about a person's ability to see a question from more than one perspective, and to accept and understand facts even when they don't fit their personal ideological narrative.

I don't believe IQ measures that. I do believe that is an important component of intelligence.

@maxdancona,
1. That's fine. I don't oppose any of the points you have articulated on this thread.

2. I still believe that Oralloy is simply a dumb person.

@Real Music,
I suspect that if Oralloy agreed with you politically, you would think he was pretty intelligent.

You think Izzy is intelligent, right?

Actually, when oralloy gets outside of politics, he sounds quite bright.

Too funny and very droll.

I had to look at this again, very funny....my husband loved it

@roger,
Yes, like when he was discussing, rather excitedly one of the eclipse events a while back. He knew details, planned a travel route for the best view.
