The author talked about a history of Christopher Columbus that did, finally, share the horror of what was done to the Arawak. However, that author wrote a part of a page in the middle of the book about the slavery and abuse but spent the rest of the book talking about the ‘romantic’ part of being a sailor and discovering new lands. Why do you think that happened?
