I love that pic, satt. Smile

I took my girls out in the snow. My old girl hates being outside PERIOD so she was at the door immedietly. Yeah, she's totally a house cat!
But the young one, Meh, just loved it. I was amazed. She's more like a dog than a cat ...begging for scraps and rolling in the snow.

Love the photos! Very Happy

Just wanted to comment on cats in snow. I've had 2 cats that love it, especially a new, fluffy snowfall. One of them would just dive in and try to tunnel under the snow, or lay down and roll all over. The other just acted like nothing happened and trotted off to do ... um, whatever cats do (in his case, probably looking woebegone at the neighbour's back door). In the stickier snow, I would make a simple maze in it, and they would chase each other through it. Or, I'd toss small snowballs and the playful one would chase them. One year, with the freeze/thaw cycle we had a small natural ice rink -- the playful one would run up to it, jump and slide on his ass -- over and over.

Then he'd come in and huddle by the heat vent.

panzade,

I would swear that is a cat I had here in my shelter named April. She disappeared one day and I have no clue what happened to her. I swear your cat is the spitting image of her. The markings on her head are exactly like April's. I will see if I have a picture of her somewhere.

I have to get myself a better digital camera, but I wanted to show you this one. This little kitten just absolutely loves this little chaise lounge! He has a mustache right now from eating treats!

Very Happy M.A. How gorgeous! You can see just enough of the stripes to know
he is a tabby. He looks like he is waiting for his staff of servants to attend his every need Exclamation Laughing What's his name?

Actually, the little guy doesn't have a name yet. I usually end up naming them on something they do or how they act. So, I guess since you think he appears to be waiting on his servants, we shall have to come up with a royal name.

All my cats here at the shelter are spoiled rotten. They even have a toybox. They all have special toys and it's so much fun to watch them go into the toybox and pick out their own toy.

Any suggestions on a name? I kind of like really unique ones.

lindatw,

Would you believe I have a cat named everyone of those except for Sir Thomas? Laughing I am amazed! And of course, Momma's Boy is this huge cat! But, spoiled, spoiled, spoiled! How did you know I had all those names? Girl, are you psychic or something?

cyphercat,

Perfect! Monarch it is! I love that.

I will probably live to regret it. The ones that have names like Prissy, Sugar, etc., have bad tempers. The ones with regal names, live up to them!

Very Happy Hello,Monarch and Momma Angel: I could lie through my teeth and say I'm more psychic than I really am,but actually, with the exception of Roi Boy,and Simba, the other names are the nicknames we call my tomcat Sammy. All our cats and dogs have had given names and middle names, and a string of nicknames. May Monarch always be as regal as a king, and peaceful as the butterfly whose name he bears !

Very Happy
