Cat photos

If you have ever tried to get a nice close-up of your cat...it seems all they want to do is smell the camera lens :wink:

Mine wants to rub against the lens, not really smell it.

One of mine {Sally} will try to eat anything. The phone,the computer,etc. Merely sniffing doesn't satisfy her !

Oreo, a large black and white cat I have here at the shelter, for some reason likes to lick the leaves of my silk plants! I have no clue as to why!

Here are some pictures of some kittens. I apologize for the quality of the pictures. I need a new digital camera. This is Katarina. She has three babies of her own (the small tan, small gray and white, and small black and white). The larger gray and white one is a feral kitten she took in and the black one is another feral she took in. She is a marvelous mother. I couldn't do it without her!

The two furry kittens on the dining room table are two of a litter of four. For some reason, they love my vase of silk magnolias on my dining room table. They are so soft and have the most marvelous dispositions. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Actually, yes. Those little ferals are already nearly tame. They still shy from human contact and hiss when you try to pick them up. Once you are holding them and scratching their ears, they are putty in your hands.

I am so pleased you think my babies are gorgeous! I think they are. Katarina is the most wonderful of mothers. I don't get her spayed because she does take in orphans. I have to have a female around that will do that. And, she never complains! It's like she says, "I can love and feed all the babies you bring me!"

Tornado warnings here so if I don't see you all for a few hours it just means I lost electricity out here in the boonies. Lights are flickering as I type.

I am about an hour east of Shreveport. It's near Ruston and is usually referred to as Jonesboro/Hodge. Still flickering lights. Bad winds, rain, lots of rain, lightning. But We are all safe. The cats are hanging out in the living room. We just had a picnic of baked chicken and now they are all settling in for a nap. As long as they aren't scared, no need to fear. They know the weather better than the weathermen! Thanx so much!

These are my boys.. I lost Gus(The multicolored one) this week to an incompitant vet's office He was the sweetest Kitty I have ever had and now my other boy midnight is looking everywhere for him.
