Long before Rumours. Before Buckingham and Nicks. Before Christine McVie, Danny Kirwan, and Bob Welch, Fleetwood Mac was a blues band, and Peter Green played guitar.

He was 73.

Green's song Albatross is also pretty well known - still a timeless instrumental.

He was tops in my book. Man, does this bring me back! Many people knew the song Albatross but not what it was or who did it. It was soundtrack of the late-‘60s. Tastiest licks and oh, those tones. I just went on a listening binge both my own CDs and YouTube. Amazing what’s out there. That jam from the 1970 version from Boston Tea Party... that recording is some of the best ever jamming.

That version of FM was the real deal.
