Thing is, whenever this horrible font is used, even in the guise of "it's for the children", it isn't a child who made the decision to use it.
I don't think a kid would be caught dead choosing that font.
Most of the time though, when I see it used, it has nothing to do with kids.
Usually it seems it's used by people who think they have to use every font that's offered, to show how "creative" they are.
The same people who tend to show their creativity by un-ironically wearing ugly Christmas sweaters, and knitting toilet paper doilies.
