What about the Thompson Twins? They did a lot of electronic stuff too. The name comes from the two policemen in the Tin Tin books, the lead singers aren't twins.

When this came out I was working as a robot operator in a factory that made supermarket trollies, so the line, I know what it means to work hard on machines was particularly apposite.

Does Money For Nothing count?

It's technically a song about how being a rock star is an easy life. But the main characters are workers, and they sing about the work they do.

I see they restored the original footage and redrew the animation in high definition. It looks good.
