It calls for beautiful weather all week and I'm checking out the beach from my window as we speak ;-)

Haven't had time to get to the beach yet as I have a lot to do before my cookout Friday, but I'm off next week as well and hitting the beach is a must :-D

How wonderful! Two weeks of your own to do with as you please! I want to go on a vacation. I haven't taken a real vacation in years. A real vacation in my opinion consists of going somewhere other than your own home for the purpose of enjoyment and relaxation. I like it to be away from home, that way I am not tempted to start cleaning or do laundry!

Hi guys and gals :-)

bbq didn't go at all as planned. We invited 17 people between the two of us who all said they were coming and only 4 people came. Of course my main focus didn't show up, so there was no holding of dominion :-(
We made the best of it with the few people we had and managed to have a good time, but now that it's over, I'm feeling really down that people didn't even think to call me and let me know they weren't coming. I had enough food to feed over 20 people and now I'm stuck with all this stuff. I spent the week cleaning and preparing for this and it was a real let down.

Oh well, the people that did come are awesome people and we enjoyed ourselves anyway. We must have since we were up partying until 7am this morning, lol. They all slept here and we had another bbq this afternoon for lunch. Good thing because I still have a lot of food left.

If I decide to have other bbq's in the future, I'll know who who not to ask next time around. That was a lot of work and expense for just a few people, so I'll make it clear to people next time that I really need a call at least a day in advance to let me know that they're not coming, because I thought it was pretty rude of them to just blow me off like that.

Your hard-core party people sound like fun, thought.

We talk on line every few days, but I'd never have the nerve to ask him over. Besides, mom stayed at her sisters last night and I had the house to myself ;-)
