Nether socialist nor liberal am I

This thread represents ideological clones. The people here (with one exception) are pretty much in lockstep political agreement on every issue from agriculture to gun control to reproductive rights with only the most minor disagreements. We can call it liberal or socialist or whatever, the label doesn't matter.

What matters is the ideological bubble that this represents. Our society is now divided into two halves on everything. Every issue becomes two extreme positions with no room to take a nuanced position on anything.

It is sad, the same thing is happening with Covid. It is the same division between the same two ideological camps, with very few people admitting that the other "side" has any valid point. If there was ever a time for unity, for people to stop yelling and start listening to each other... this would be it.

This is my challenge. Can anyone here say "I am a liberal, but the conservatives make a valid point on this issue" (or if you happen to be a conservative, switch the ideological sides)?

My point is that you are in lockstep agreement with the other good upright people here on every issue from GMOs to gun control to religious freedom to Covid response. These are unrelated issues... and yet somehow people bunch up into tight little ideological bubbles on every one.

Let me explain it to you, because you have made this mistake more than once.

1. "You're" is a contraction of "You are". As in "You're a good guy." or "You're awfully intelligent".

2. "Your is a possessive pronoun. It means that the following noun phrase belongs to or is associated with me.

If you say "Your reading comprehension is abysmal." You are saying that the abysmal reading comprehension belongs to me.

But you said "You're reading comprehension...." a phrase that implies that I am reading comprehension. Which is clearly incorrect.

If you are going to criticize someone's English ability, you should be sure to get the grammar correct.

What we have learned from this thread.

- There is a group of people who think almost exactly alike on a wide range of unrelated issues.

- So far there has been no attempt to express any opinion outside of the ideological bubble, or to acknowledge that the other political side has any valid points.

- This ideological narrow division has dominated every issue in the US from agricultural practices, to school policy, to gun rights, to covid-19 reponse.

- Anyone who questions this ideological division is an uninformed idiot who can't comprehend English.

- Max is stupid and ugly.
