Violet - "where the poet urged the one he loved to give up her virginity"

In my limited understanding I couldn't found a strong connection...

Try Ovid or Petrarch.

Here's another good one:

So we'll go no more a-roving
So late into the night,
Though the heart still be as loving,
And the moon still be as bright.

For the sword outwears its sheath,
And the soul outwears the breast,
And the heart must pause to breathe,
And love itself have rest.

Though the night was made for loving,
And the day returns too soon,
Yet we'll go no more a-roving
By the light of the moon.

no ones going to look at this post but i'll write it anyway.

the woman being forced to loose her virginity sounds a bit like a short story by Angela Carter.

Not a poem, but it does have a rosebud
