Ok I'm trying to play this game but no one will tell me how to play. You just have to look at the examples and figure it out. So here are the examples.
There are trees, but no flowers.
Pattern, but no order.
Letters, but no words.
There is coffee, but nothing to drink.
there are commandments, but no Moses...
Any ideas as to what the pattern is?!
There are words with double letters (on the left, like "letters"), but no words with just non-repeating characters (on the right, like "characters").
I see two types...
What Yitwail said is correct.
But there seems to be kind of relations between words..
Commandments are linked with Moses.. Can't have Commandments without moses.
Or pattern wihout orders..
There are books but no words
There are glasses but no spectacles
There is beer but nothing to drink
There is food, but nothing to eat
There is a party game my sons taught me like this. One person (1) will think of a rule, and say 'I'm going to the party and I'm taking booze (e.g.)'
The next person (2) hasn't a clue what the rule is so may say 'I'm taking biscuits (thinking it's something beginning with b)
1 then says No, you can't take biscuits.
3 I'm taking food.
1 That's fine, we need some food.
4 I'm taking Molly.
1 No, sorry.
5 I'm taking Lee.
1 OK, Lee can come.
Gradually they all get it, it's a double vowel. Endless variations, good game for car journeys - now my sons use it as a drinking game!
