In the Art Gallery is a new conceptual art piece. The artist created a huge pile different paintings; periodically he picks up one of the paintings and hangs it on the wall, and adjusts it.
At 11:00, the painting titled "Number 30" was hung.
At 4:00, the painting titled "Number 240" was hung.
At 7:30, the painting titled "Number 315" was hung.
What painting will the artist hang on the wall at 9:20?
whats the answer to this? can u post it, or email me at

Number 200
The number of the painting is the number of degrees between the hour hand and the minute hand moving clockwise from the hour hand.
Kudos to markr, the painting @ 9:20 would be 200
A general solution set is P=[60-H*5-5*(m/60)+m]*6
Where H is hour and m is minutes (as in H:m), P is the painting #.
the final multiplier (6) is from the # of degrees in an hour (6=360/60)
At 11:00, H is 11 and m=0
P=[60-11*5-5*(0/60)+0]*6=30
At 4:00, H=4, m=0
P=[60-4*5-5*(0/60)+0]*6=240
At 7:30, H=7 m=30
P=[60-7*5-5*(30/60)+30]*6=315
At 9:20, H=9 m=20
P=[60-9*5-5*(20/60)+20]*6=200
