Difference between Meteorology and Climatetology

Ok, so I know that many people would say that the difference is that one studies weather and the other studies the climate, but those things are just about the same thing! Does anyone know the real BIG difference between the two? I want to be one of them, but don't know which to choose!

A quick definition of weather vs climate: Climate is weather over an extended period of time.
