Can you recommend some songs that can put you to sleep? I have trouble sleeping these days. Thank you.

@cleopatraistired,
"White noise" is probably a better choice.

@cleopatraistired,
There are lots of ambient noises, traffic, rain, that sort of thing. I've known people who listen to that, but not music.

Consider music from, say, The Moody Blues. You want something soothing, without too much jarring noise or key changes.

@cleopatraistired,
I stress! I CANNOT recommend Alan Hovhaness's Mount St. Helens Symphony. Well at least not the final movement. For most of the symphony, it's a gorgeous pastoral work where one can meditate oneself into sleep. But if one drifts to slumber time when it's still playing... things get over the top melodramatic when the symphony depicts the famous volcanic eruption of 1980. It's a fantastic piece. But if you play it in order to go to sleep? Be prepared to be scared the hell back out of sleep into consciousness. It's a pretty twisted turn of tone and orchestra.

I like listening to ambient music on the minimalist side to fall asleep to. There's even this sub-genre of ambient music that's supposedly geared towards stimulating brain waves for relaxation and meditation. Steve Halpern has an album called DEEP ALPHA Relaxing Music plus Brainwave Entrainment
for Meditation and Healing
, with such song titles as "Deep Alpha 8 Hz (part 1)."

Try listening to Gregorian chants. About as relaxing as you can get.

@Roberta,
Almost any composition from spiritually driven minimalist composer, Arvo Pärt, from Estonia. His work is well known... if people don't exactly know him by name.

@cleopatraistired,
This is my go to 'sleep' album
https://www.discogs.com/Various-Bliss/master/571208
For some reason it doesn't bore me if I can't sleep, but allows me to sleep if I'm ready.

A few of Darshan Ambient's albums work too https://www.discogs.com/artist/249557-Darshan-Ambient

And for some reason Vangelis' "Soil Festivities" works too, with a nice mix of ambient/environmental sounds

Lately I've been doing playlists of key ambient tracks I've collected over the years, but the Bliss compilation I first listed is still amazing for this purpose (because it does the track transitions wonderfully).

I am looking for an old favorite and have no idea of the artist or lyrics. In the video, there is a blond woman in a white dress dancing around a white room with a tall man who looks like a mop ragdoll. I appreciate any help anyone can give me on this.

Are you overthinking before going to bed?
Try to listen to mellow genre music or old songs to put you asleep.

@cleopatraistired,
I want to advise you this music: Marconi Union - Weightless, this "music" is born by a collaboration by psychologists. Weightless was creating to relax people and induce them to a state of tranquility. It's optimal to lisen before to go to sleep.

I can advise you to listen to the sounds of nature, it helps a lot. For example, the sea, the forest, birdsong, rain.
And you can also try listening to tantric music. At first, you may not like it, but it helped me.
