What percent of 20 is 15?

Percentage is just another way to express parts of wholes, e.g. decimals.
Now 15/20=3/4. Now in percents 100% makes a whole---so now think of "what percent is three quarters."

15/20 simplifies to 3/4 (divide by 5) which can become 75% or .75 (3*.25)
24/30 simplifies to 4/5 (divide by 6) which can become 80% or .80 (4*.2)
