@tanguatlay,
No, I prefer it over "in regards to."

@InfraBlue,
Me too. Punky has a habit of muddying the waters and confusing the OP. My advice to anyone learning English is to pay no attention to her posts.

@izzythepush,
With regards to this post, at least I’m not rude and nasty.

Izzy and a few others are the reason this site is dwindling in participation. It is no longer approachable.

With the upcoming election, I can foresee lots of heated discussion. So be it. But to blow up over an idiom, that’s just stupid.

Bye, ya all.

@PUNKEY,
Just incompetent.

I wasn't being rude or nasty either, just pointing out that this is an area you should not give advice on. I'm not alone in that, Setanta has said the same.

Let's just recap, Tanguatlay asked a very simple yes/no question, and infra blue answered it. That should have been the end of it, but I added my support to infra's answer just in case some idiot who doesn't know what they're talking about comes along and confuses things.

That's exactly what you did, you did not answer Tanguatlay's question but gave an alternative, and weaker, version of your own. All you succeeded in doing was confusing Tanguatlay.

Have I missed anything?
