I think if someone pass from the experience that is being stabbed for no reason from a complete stranger , at that precise moment that it s happening , EVERYONE will want that person tortured and death . That s my believe.hope no one will be in that position . Good luck

That's where your perceptions of Americans and our legal system differs. Many states now make capital punishment illegal.

Capital punishment is currently authorized in 29 states, by the federal government and the U.S. military. In recent years, New Mexico (2009), Illinois (2011), Connecticut (2012), Maryland (2013) and New Hampshire (2019) have legislatively abolished the death penalty, replacing it with a sentence of life imprisonment with no possibility for parole.

@cicerone imposter,
My last comment was what you would think about if some one is stabbing you for no reason . You have to be in that position to really talk about it .all you are saying is how the system is changing .

Illegal immigration is also backed up by the goverments but it does nt mean it s good and healthy .

I do not worry about such ridiculous events to impact my life. It's more dangerous driving my car. I live in reality, not in fear. I have also traveled to 132 countries that required many hours of flight time. I have visited many third world countries without fear. Even visited Egypt soon after some German tourists were killed at Hatshepsut Temple. It turned out to be the best time to visit Egypt, because we got police escorts to and from the airport, and the major sites in Egypt were almost empty of tourists. I never worry about being injured or getting killed by flying. BTW, we live in Sunnyvale, CA, considered one of the safest cities in the country; always in the top 5. According to the San Jose Mercury News, we were the safest city in the country for the third year in a row. https://www.mercurynews.com/2018/01/02/sunnyvale-named-safest-city-in-the-u-s-for-the-third-year/ We also lived in Naperville, IL, when I worked for Florsheim Shoe Company. They're also listed as one of the safest cities in the country. Both Sunnyvale and Naperville also have good schools. That's the reason we chose these cities to live in. It was reflected by how our children did in college. Our older son graduated summa cum laude, and our younger son graduated magna cum laude.

@cicerone imposter,
I, personally, never reached that pinnacle, although my wife did.

@cicerone imposter,
But pls , try to understand what i mean , i m sayin , you would nt think the same if this happens to you . So you have to think about if it happens to you . You have to think what is your wish to happen to that person that harm you for no reason .. then you can continue to not think about it anymore .
