The gameweek that wouldn't end

In the never-ending week 26 there are 4 Premier League matches to play.

In the Head to Head

There's a 4 pt gap between the Riders on 45 pts and the Scopys on 49 pts.
Both have De Bruyne (MC) to play.
But the Riders have Grealish (AV) to play too and to win they need him to score 5 pts.
So though this week wont end till Wed this game will be decided today.
Fav - Scopys (Marginal)

The Maniacs have 8 pts (6 on bench) and look unlikely to finish above A.Verage.
More bad news for the Riders.

There's a 2 pt gap between the Unforgiven on 43 pts and the Lads on 45 pts.
Both have De Bruyne (MC) and Grealish (AV) to play.
But the Unforgiven also have Dubravka (NEW) and Mount (CHE) to play and will need just 3 pts from them to win.
In fact the Lads best chance of winning is if either De Bruyne or Grealish don't play as they have a tasty 9 pts sitting on the bench with Evans (LEI).
Fav - Unforgiven (unless above happens)

Jack Grealish comes through for the Riders with a perfectly placed corner
kick giving him an assist on the Engels goal. He also got a bonus point.
(Still don't understand how bonus points are awarded)

Grealish had the option of playing for Ireland but instead chose England. Hence this week's defeat is doubly-devastating. I shall now slink away and sulk for a considerable length of time.

Week 26 is nearly, almost, just about, finally over. Just 1 match left ManC V W/Ham.


The Riders roll on, no stopping them. Grealish came through for them and secured them a 2 pt victory.

A.verage have beaten the Maniacs barring a minor miracle.

The Unforgiven needed 3 pts from 2 players to beat the Lads and just about got there. So if De Bruyne plays the Unforgiven win, if he doesn't the Lads win.

City play Wed and again on Sat so will Pep rotate the team, possible.

They're playing second-place Leicester, though.
A loss and the Foxes leapfrog.

Week 27 begins 22nd Feb.

After week 26 the Wee Lads are still top of the Classic League 25 pts ahead of the Unforgiven.

In the Head to Head

The Maniacs fell well short of A.verage losing by 28 pts.

The other two matches were very tight with the Riders beating the Scopys by a mere 2 pts and the Unforgiven beating the Lads by the bare minimum 1 pt.


Next week the Riders face the Maniacs while the Lads are up against the A.verage.

Now you would think the Riders and the Lads are strong favourites in their games.

That leaves the Unforgiven against the Scopys, much harder to call.

We'll see.
