I don't know the answer Don1, but here's a picture to help somebody answer your question.

Thanks Mac, doesn't tell me anything but I'm sure someone will recognise it.

Model T ford perhaps?

The 1928 edition featured a car parked outside of the Treasury Department building. Contrary to popular belief, it is not a Model-T Ford, rather it is a composite of multiple cars of that era.Source

It is a (1923?) Hupmobile. But it no longer appears on current $10's.

The car did not appear on the $10.00 bill until 1928. The Hupmobile was earlier and does not look like the picture provided. :-)

Notice that the bumper is different, the grill shape is slightly different plus a few other items can be noted. It really is a composite on the bill.

this site claims it is a 1925 hupmobile. If you google around, you'll find various trivia claims that it is a 1923 to 1927 model, but they all agree it is a hupmobile:

I read through this site and found several falsehoods in it. None of it is documented on this site....they are just written down without backup.

The part about Einstein's brain was partucularly amusing. A university in Ontario, Canada has measured etc. and found the width to be 15% larger than normal. The university is not named and, to my knowledge, his brain has never been in Canada. Hell, I don't think they even know where it is, although it is claimed that it was removed prior to his cremation.

Anyhow, the car is not a hupmobile... Rolling Eyes
