I can't figure out the clue, but with the letters you have, it looks like MOTLEY CRUE to me. Try it and see if it helps...

The band names are Superchunk, Supergrass, and Supertramp.

I agree with R and B and with Beck.

There's a band called Rush, but I don't know what that has to do with Tom Sawyer.

I never heard of a band called Rose, but there's probably one out there somewhere. (I don't know what Rose has to do with Tom Sawyer either.)
