i am trying to help my daughter do her homework, what are five sided figures in 3D called. i am totally stuck and would appreciate any help u can give

It would be called 'pentahedral` penta- for five and -hedral for sides but I'm curious about the object. For instance a quadrilateral (four sided base) pyramid is also a pentahedral object (but a pentahedral isn't necessarily a quadrilateral pyramid.

Rethinking my presumption.

I can't think of a pentahedral that is not quadrilateral pyramid---- but that is not proof.

Does anyone know if all pentahedrals are quadrilateral pyramids?

A triangular prism has five sides, but is not a pyramid.
