There was a time many years ago when I couldn't speak a word of English and now I can only read very little French and can't hold a conversation in French for the life of me. Understanding it does help me though seeing that I live in Canada.

Carry on ;-)

There are too many people speaking Patriot on this forum ! (I can't speak the "f" word for the fear of being labelled "unpatriotic" - specially coz I am still hot of the oven brit)

I have held a lifelong dream of visiting Paris, ever since becoming familiar with some the American expatriate writers who lived there. I don't give a damn about the politics of it.

Gautam - but that's why we're doing it. It's silly to believe that french fries (french? Cha-right) are unpatriotic.

There was a time I was fluent, however, now I believe I would only convey into an attempt a deliberate murder of the language however...

I would certainly enjoy french toast, french fries and champagne

thanks Smile

I would prefer Big Mac, potato chips and good old Coca-Cola.

De gustibus non disputandum. I am serious, I like McDonald's. I understand that such a food preference is more suitable to a teenager than to a man of my age, but I cannot change anything.

McDonalds is the worst. If I'm going to a crap joint, it's Wendy's. Even then, it's grilled chicken sammiches, baby.

If it is the worst, how do you explain its great success throughout the world? I know that currently the company experiences certain hardships, but such things may happen to any business, even to the Microsoft Corp.

What I meant, I think the food is the worst. Not a big fan, it's pretty filthy.
