Blackouts Common Among College-Age Drinkers
They make it sound like it's somehow a bad thing...

Seriously, I've blacked out a few times, but I've never done anything stupid (except drink enough to black out). That is I don't think I have.

I didn't say I'd never done anything stupid while drunk (I've done lots of dumb drunk person tricks), but I hadn't done anything stupid while being blacked out. I was refering to the article where it said blacked out students vandalized and drove during the event.
I do not drink much, and this attitude of mine was influenced by the period when I was permanently armed (in 1982-86). I did not know how could I act being drunk, so I abstained from drinking.

As far as doing anything stupid while blacked out...not sure, I can't remember.
By the way, referring to the title of the thread: IMO, college students do not need being drunk to be involved in unsafe sex. The younger the people are, the more they believe that STDs and undesired pregnancies may happen to anyone except them...
True, but getting drunk "facilitates" the event.
