Looking for a poem I forgot the name of

I forgot the name and author of this poem. It's about facing the future, and there are some references to keep your socks, and something about "wherever you'll go you'll have to walk".

I found it. It's "Packing for the Future" by Lorna Crozier. It appears that she's also in the faculty of University of Victoria.
