I know absolutely nothing about lawn care, so looking for the basics on how to handle my simple yard.
Right now, it's all just dead grass with many different kinds of weeds. There's one sloped part of the lawn that's just dirt/clay. I'm hoping it's as simple as "buy and use weed killer, plant grass in sloped area where there's only dirt, wait for grass to regrow for the spring on top of dead grass."
I have a dog too so not sure if I that's a factor in what chemicals to use for weed killing?
Open to any advice or thoughts. Thanks!
@MiraaFaison,
Do you know why the grass is poorly to begin with? That's important to know in order for us to give you advice?
1) What is the ground like? hard dry clay or other?
2) How much sun it gets?
3) What is your ultimate goal? - low maintenance grass that you give minimum attention too or very neat high maintenance grass?
