Is this some sort of odd April Fool's joke or what? Why is everyone's name showing up as atookaian?

At the moment of Terri Schiavos passing, a rip in the curtain between the world as we know it and Bizzaro world was torn asunder and we are now residing half in the world known as Earth, and half in the Galaxy of Artookaian. Nothing may ever be the same.
Only the rebirth of common sense, ripped from the jagged womb of Paris Hilton, (another celebrity in a vegetative state) can close the rift and restore order to the Universe.
It's not looking good.

BVT is the highest priest of Atook. He also happens to be the commander of the atookaian armies. And Atook is five times the size of Artook, so hush your voice, silly monk.

A couple of years ago, there was a thread wherein a few members were constructing the ideal planet/life/existence.
They named it Atookia, if I'm not mistaken.
I think this is a marvellous oppotunity to erace sig lines and interact with no preconceptions.
