In affairs, the chances of a married person leaving are virtually zero. Why? Because he gets to screw two women, see his kids full-time (if there are kids in the picture), and not lose half his assets. It's a win-win so far as he's concerned, to keep you strung along.

This is also true of married women. Leaving a marriage is expensive. Screwing around on the side is not.

And as for you, this is avoidance behavior. It keeps you from meeting and dating men in your town or meeting more remote men from online and dating them.
