Does ADHD really exist?

Not according to these people:

Quote:
“ADHD is fraud intended to justify starting children on a life of drug addiction.” ~Dr. Edward C. Hamlyn, a founding member of the Royal College of General Practitioners

Quote:
It is best thought of as a description. If you look at how you end up with that label, it is remarkable because any one of us at any given time would fit at least a couple of those criteria. ~Dr. Bruce D. Perry, M.D., Ph.D

Quote:
“…after 50 years of practicing medicine and seeing thousands of patients demonstrating symptoms of ADHD, I have reached the conclusion there is no such thing as ADHD.” ~Dr Richard Saul

Personally, I think ADHD is caused by boredom and the stupidity in the
schools, AND indeed to hook them to medicines for life, exactly as predicted by Orwell.

Oh, and btw meditation works much better for these kids then medication!

What do you think?

@OldGrumpy,
Who are you going to believe, a bunch of fame hungry naysayers or the vast multitudes afflicted by ADHD?

ADHD is real. Quite real.

You get your jollies reading conspiracy theories.

You are easily gulled.

You do not know when to use the word 'than' and when to use the word 'then'.

@OldGrumpy,
The Mindmills Of Your Wind

Secret circles that conspire, wheeling deals within your spiel
Never ending or beginning Grumpy's feel for the unreal
There is no mental illness they must all be whacked on goon

And there's no such thing as atoms whereas gravity's a joke
Like the circles that you find on the score card of your mind

Rabbit tunnels that you follow for the paranormal news
Fakes so hollow illiterates would obtain a sounder view
Like a door that keeps revolving onto Edvard Munch's scream
It's the piffle that you peddle like a half forgotten dream
For unmitigated drivel you are clearly quite unmatched
A mind so full of babble that the brain's become detached
Like the circles that you find on the score card of your mind

Psychiatrist admitted on his death bed that ADHD was a fictitious disease

On his death bed, this psychiatrist and autism pioneer admitted that ADHD is essentially a "fictitious disease," which means that millions of young children today are being needlessly prescribed severe mind-altering drugs that will set them up for a life of drug addiction and failure

It's an educational label, for sure. Kids they think have problems because they can't sit still or are bored with school need a label so they can put them in special classes. Federal monies come into school districts because of this.

I fear we are stifling all our artists, musicians, writers and other creative people who are wonderfully operating outside the box and are labeled because they can't conform to our US school system.

NOTE: I am not talking about autistic or emotionally /physical impaired children who need special attention in the classroom.

@OldGrumpy,
Right . . . his source is a seventh day adventist web site that focuses on helping people to live in contemporary society, while preserving their religious purity so that they can meet their savior Jeebus at the second coming, which the adventists believe is immanent.
