Princess Diana visited a Hospital in England, there she had an ongoing friendship with a Dotor. Does anybody remember this, the Doctor, and his name?
He was called Hasnat Khan, and they seem to have had quite a romance, but his Pathan family back in Pakistan were unhappy about his getting mixed up with a bottle-blonde divorcee. His mother said to the newspapers that theirs was a respectable family and they wanted him to marry a respectable girl.
Although later, after she died and people were calling her "Saint Diana" her mother was quoted in the press as saying that it had been a very wonderful and touching relationship and that the family had loved her too. The world's press may have distorted what she said on both occasions, though, so you can believe whichever you like - but version 1 sounds a lot more convincing to me!
