There was a thread featuring an animal nobody could identify. I don't recall the title. Perhaps the one who started it will read this and bring it back. - edgar
The hyote is a cryptozoological animal that was repeatedly sighted in Baltimore County, Maryland during the summer of 2004. Based on eyewitness reports and a videotape of the creature captured by rigging a motion detector to a camera, some locals speculated that it was an as-yet undiscovered species. Skeptics surmised that it was most likely an escaped hyena or a canid affected by disease.
A humane trap finally captured a specimen alive on August 1, 2004. Veterinarians identified the animal as a red fox infested with sarcoptic mange, a parasite that causes hair loss.
Ah, we have wise people here on a2k......
I think you mean this one, but I think it was already solved:

Somehow I missed that last part. My brother just sent me the solution. Thanks, people. It was worth another look anyway.
Sounds kinda like the story about the Lockniss monster. Do y'all believe that really exists? I read a National Geograpic article once where they even drew what the whole body would look like.
I believe the photographer of the Loch Ness Monster died recently. On his deathbed he admitted the hoax.
Still, Nessy Lives.
Well, that's disappointing. I thought Nessy was maybe like one of those missing links or something.
Nessy is as real as Barney and she has more seniority.
