Your Favorite City Skyline?

Which city has your favorite skyline? Does it hold the same allure during the daytime as the nighttime skyline?

Mine? Maybe a bit shocking... a bit surprising to you, and very likely spiced with a megaton of sentimentality...

...

...

is the Pittsburgh skyline taken from the converging of the three rivers:
Ohio River, Monongahela River, and the Allegheny River.

@tsarstepan,
Never really pondered this, but upon first impulse... I think I like the skyline of this city most.

I might like the look of it by night even more... I've always been a sucker for mountain ranges under a clear, starlit night.

Florence has to be the most beautiful city I've ever visited.

I've always loved Toronto's skyline:

And Chicago's as well

But I am a sucker for waterfront cities. Both are at their best at sunrise/sunset.

@Padman01,
I wonder... can a city have a true skyline if not being situated near a body of water?

@tsarstepan,
Pittsburgh - not entirely shocking - I had been there maybe about 4 years ago when my daughter was considering a college in the area. I also thought that area looked surprisingly beautiful. Now overall Pittsburgh is not the most beautiful city - but from the perspective of those rivers converging it is very pretty. And that area around the sports parks - has been developed very nicely.

I suppose the answer to be yes.
Mountains can help create a skyline.

@tsarstepan,
Interesting question. I think there does need to be something like water, mountains, or even an escarpment to really make the skyline standout.

Pleasant skyline for the hometown of Seth Rogen.
Screenshot of the Vancouver skyline from Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner , the David Chang foodie series on Netflix.
