Oh, gosh! This is for all you Astrologists out there! I realize the Vernal Equinox is nearing, but is there anyone out there who knows more about it? How long it lasts, if it even lasts? In layman's terms please...
It exists. You gotta be quick for it only lasts an instant. When the sun centers above the equator, thare she is. And suddenly, it's over. You can verify that with any competent astrologer.

As the previous two posters have already said, it "lasts" a nanosecond.
I don't think you can assign a non-zero duration to it. That would be like assigning a width to a point.
