Virtually all of us will have somewhere in our house something with just two fingers on it and a thumb ( apparently it is a bit outdated these days) What is it?

An older family member who, as a peace and love hippy, did a lot of hitch-hiking. Obviously.

You have to admit this is a brilliant question. Asked everyone I know and they are all scratching their heads! Thought about electrical appliances/plumbing/ old technology now defunct such as tape recorders,record players,typewriters1
