Hey guys and girls. I just thought of this totally random discussion.
If you could create any super power what would it be and why?
I myself would create a power that allows you to kill literally anything. This power would be bound to the soul pf the person and they could then use any weapon they wanted to to kill any thing they needed to.
Yes, that's one way to erase all living creatures and human kind.
Go for it. The importance of life has been vastly exaggerated anyway, imo.
@Merry Andrew,
I wouldn't worry too much - from the sounds of it, it is quite likely this intelligent creature would end up pointing his super powers the wrong way and thus eliminating his wrongful existence among us non-super power beings.
@Linkat,
This creature is a Phoenix Angel. A creature that i made up myself. In the stories i write they kill evil. Like demons..
Haven't plain ol ordinary humans already figured out how to kill just about anything? What's so super about that??
@rubybloodstone,

Dramatically speaking ... this kill with anything power leaves little to imagination in terms of future obstacles. If everything is accessible to these alleged protagonists then they even use the demons to kill themselves and virtually every battle is a foregone conclusion that these Phoenix Angels are guaranteed to win. Where is the excitement in this all too powerful power ... story wise.
@rubybloodstone,
I'd rather have the super power to restore life than kill it.
At some time in the past, either men or something or somebody else had the power to engineer and/or re-engineer complex life forms, at least on this planet, and that power was taken away, possibly because it was being misused in the creation of things like chiggers, ticks, biting flies, mosquitoes etc. i.e. the things I refer to as the creatures of Pandora's box. Or that power could have simply ceased due to some sort of natural cause or causes, nonetheless it's gone.
You could call that a super power. The DNA/RNA system which is the basis of all life that we know anything about appears to be the work of a single pair of hands which I assume means God. But there is no rational way to picture a well-intentioned God creating the creatures of Pandora's box. Nor for that matter is there a way to picture an omniscient God needing to create fifty kinds of horses or elephants before getting to the one he wanted. What appears to be the case is that the engineering and re-engineering of life forms used to be some sort of a cottage industry on our planet and more than one pair of hands were involved.
@gungasnake,
Well we are only talking fiction here - cartoons and the like - at least that is what I was guessing.

Oh yes, that would be a wonder super power to have!
We all have super powers to restore life actually.
Restore liveliness of spirit to someone that is.
It's cool how just a few words to someone can just make their whole day better.
s'easy.
@chai2,
Wow! Now when I tell my kids that I am a superhero it will be true!
Honestly - I do tell my kids this - I say I don't work at ABC Co., I am really a super hero.
Sadly they don't believe me.
@Linkat,
The name PHOENIX angel implies that they have that power too. I thought that might be obvious. I am still experimenting with these creatures. Before i put them into my story. I plan to write a book so i need my own creatures aswell as a few that already exist in fictional life.
