Eminent Epiphany
Born under starry skies, destined in time
For your heart's demise, blessed with a sign
In the heavens above, maps of constellations
And a parent's love, paths to consecration
Begin with the conception, when sperm meets the ovum
Defeating contraception, flesh and hemoglobin
Spun like from a loom, carbon molded clay
Forming in the womb, stronger every day
Light in eyes visible, ignorance is bliss
Until your wisdom's full, oxygen kissed lips
You're breathing on your own, eighteen years pass
And then you're leaving home, dreams of stained glass
Majored in religion, memorized the Bible
Then you had a vision, met a wise disciple
Assimilated doctrine, learned to fight Lucifer
And sin, the hated toxin, yearned to light crucibles
With the tongue hot as a furnace, a bishop was ordained
Lived to serve the Church in earnest, until your chest had pains
And then your heart stopped tight, that which shows no bias
Death severs every life, lowest to the highest
I like it although I think that the ending is rather abrupt and unexpected. What are anyone else's opinion on this.
When posting someone else poetry you have to give credit to the poet who wrote it. You have to write his or her name.
I enjoyed this poem. Thank you for sharing.

mmm i agree with the posting of his/her name part but otherwise. i really like this poem i like the differance of science and religion, opposites fused in one poem and the ending i think is very applicable death is sudden as is the ending. v enjoyable
