I've some issues with articles.

Can we use "A" in these sentences below? If yes, would it change the meanings?

"In December 2016, the conservative commentator Scottie Nell Hughes argued that..."

"According to Alexander Dugin, the Russian political scientist and polemicist (nicknamed 'Putin's Rasputin')...

"Nixon knew fell well what awaited the politician who was caught lying."
