Housing benefit for English people living in Europe?

Does anyone know, please, if any form of housing benefit is payable to English people living in Italy or France, on low incomes. Many thanks. Being able to keep my family together depends on this so if you can help, please do.

In general, I would think 'yes'.

In France it should be either l'Aide Personnalisée au Logement (APL) or l'Allocation Logement (A.L.).

You might research about it at Caisse d'Allocations Familiales (CAF) or Caisse de Mutualité Sociale Agricole (CMSA).

Italy could have similar laws, but I don't know anything about that. (Actually, I do know about German related laws only - looked the other up in the internet. )

However, it won't be easy in either case, if you only move from one EU-country to the other to get (better) benefits!

Besides, your local (office of your) Member of European Parliament should have at least some basic infos as well.
