is the value of a in the equation 5/a=3/a-2 a=-1/2? I'm stuck!

Well,

I don't think so! multilply da equation by 2
u'll get 5=3-2a. it's pretty easy...or am I missin' somethin'.? hehe n a =-1 . Is dis a prank or wot?

I think maybe he's saying 5/a=3/(a-2) in which case a would equal (5a-10)/a=3 which goes to 5a-10=3a which goes to 2a=10 and a=5.

But, if he/she meant 5/a = 3/a -- 2

multiplying by "a" gives 5 = 3 - 2a

2 = -2a

a = -1
