Well, I check Abuzz once in a while. Too bad that it's gone to the dogs. Moondoggy excluded, of course
Hey, dlk. Glad that you've found a home here.
Yeah - I got the A2K URL from abuzz, and haven't visted there much since.
God, the drooling idjits took over that place.
Snood, It's not always the bad guys who are the enemies.
i was on afuzz back in 2000, stopped regular afuzzing after about 18 months. and no, you can't make me go back!
The majority of the prolific posters are from Abuzz. The overwhelming majority of members are not.
Well I sort of got here by way of Abuzz, I was out of there for a while, but roger invited me here, thank gosh!
There are lots of members on the list that have never posted even a single response...
yup to that, steissd, and a lot of members who hasn't filled out their profile...
The Watchers of the Skies.
If you look at the stats for "visits" and compare them with "posts" it's quite surprising.
For the Anagram thread it's about 10:1
Mind you, that one requires some thought ;-D
That's actually "views", McTag. So everytime you check the thread, that's another view. Everytime someone else checks it, that's another. Etc. It doesn't mean that 500 people are watching the 50 posts (or whatever).
Not surprised by the stats, which would be even more conclusive if "smeg" were not such an appealing word.
I'll not go into its real meaning, for those who don't know...let's just say it comes from Red Dwarf, OK!
Yes, abuzz was my start point. I stayed until just about all of you guys were already gone...and then left.
I still post to one thread on abuzz - Dear Diary - because certain abuzzers there are not here.
Good to see so many familiar faces here - Hi Moondoggy - I haven't seen you about here yet.
KP
McTag,
10:1 is pretty standard, that's what my estimate has been but I never checked it.
Craven, Is there a policy in place concerning how long a member may remain on this site without ever having posted a thread or responded to an interaction?
The policy is that they can stay as long as they please. Not everyone uses forums in the exact same manner. My husband, for example, is a member of A2K but will very likely never post.
Yes, Mr. Jespah, it's hard to be a men, but then to be the husband of such a wife .... speaking from own experience: we have to accept our fate.
Yours doesn't let you talk either, Walter?
He talks all the time (well, not all the time) and looks in at work (oops, hope the boss isn't around), so it's not like I'm hogging the PC. He just doesn't want to post.
I was originally from Abuzz, FWIW. Prefer this forum's format and sanity level.
roger
Pssscht: you are right, but she thinks, I'm working here on my computer
