Ranoutonarail-- Freight hopping from Pensacola, Florida to New Orleans, Louisiana and then north to Meridian, Mississippi.
Riding first in a dirty gondola, then, in Mobile, switching to a relatively luxurious grain hopper car to New Orleans and up to Meridian.
No commentary but locations are noted. 36 minute video.
Truck ( wheel assembly) disengages from grain hopper car and derails. Removal of truck and replacement. Unfortunately, a lot of the repair action is off screen.
The steam and historic train season started last weekend.
On that video you see the most common steam (52) and Diesel (V200) engines of my youth (Both engines mainly used for and express trains - the carriages used here were those for passenger trains stopping at every milk can.)
The region, the Ruhr valley, is that part of Westphalia, where coal mining started in the 18th/19th century. The stations shown later in the video are in Bochum, where coal mining ended 30 years ago.

HoboShoestring1 riding a pusher unit on a freight train. A real luxury for a freighthopper.
Giant ship goes under lift bridge in Duluth, Minnesota. All right, it's not a train, but it's cool anyway. I'd hate to be the person who has to pilot that thing.
From April 6 to 8, 2018, the annual steam locomotive meeting took place in the Dresden Old Town Railway Museum. As a special guest the locomotive 477.043 of Ceske Drahy arrived from the Czech Republic. Video from the the night photo parade.
