Bear, moderators don't normally comply with requests for self-banning...for several reasons.

If you're determined to do it, one method is to change the email address in your profile. You won't be able to log using your account until you click a link in the email sent to your new address, which validates your change. (So don't change it to something bogus unless you're sure you don't want back in.)

Unnerstand where BPB is comin' from. Can't unnerstand why some folks think other folks are responsible to protect themselves from their own actions. Generally, if one has a personal problem with somethin', the solution to that problem is not external.

Gotta say too that resortin' to intentionally gettin' oneself banned is about as mature as a toddler's grocery store tantrum over the candy mommy won't buy.
