There's a great Chinese buffet somewhere in Connecticut on the eastbound side of the CT Turnpike or whatever the interstate is there, where the Lucky Star buses stop on the return leg of the NY-Boston route. At least they stop there when the bus driver is Chinese. When they have to borrow a bus from one of the western MA bus lines due to high seasonal demand, and so the driver is Anglo, they stop at a Burger King. Shudder. It's always 2 am when we stop there and stagger in, so I have no idea what its actual name is or where it is. They charge you by the ounce for whatever magical dishes you put in the Styrofoam container. It's always like a wonderful mirage looming out of the snow.
@MontereyJack,
I like many of those Chinese buffets. However they do seem to be regulated quite closely. We have several in E P and the Lancaster and Allentown Newspapers have fun reporting "Inspection Results" and remedial actions required an why. Makes for great reading (and restaurant planning)
can you describe its taste and feel?
I love fried chicken by roadside BBQ pits. No sauce other than a vinegar spray onto the cooking thighs and wings and drumsticks (IM not a big lover of whitemeat)
