I hate sleeping with socks as well, but when the temps get as cold as they do at this time of year, my feet freeze and I can't sleep. I'm getting an electric fireplace for my room next winter, so no more socks to bed for this gal :-D

I don't blame you... you're a bit further north than I am. Have you ever tried an electric blanket? They are toasty warm Very Happy

Setanta needs to have a shoulder covered, and his feet are usually out from under the covers. I like to have my shoulders free, and my feet covered. It makes blanket arrangement tricky. He's an incubator, and I'm an ice cube. That doesn't help with the blanket/sheet discussion either. He's usually a very very good sport about this.

I've thought about getting an electric blanket, but I wrap myself up in the blankets and I'm always afraid of wrapping myself in anything electric.

i have a heating pad for when my back is wonky

when it's very cold - and Setanta's not around - i put the heating pad on low - under the blankets - by my feet - for about 15 minutes before i go to bed - then turn it off once i go to bed

Nothing, mostly.

Tho when I dont feel so happy I tend to go with shorts+PJ top, for some reason.

My bedclothes vary dramatically depending on the weather, who is with me and how I am feeling. I am a bit of a foot "claustrophobe" myself and while I don't mind the covers being on my feet, I simply must have room for my feet and toes to move.

I have a lot of beautiful silky lingerie but that rarely makes it to the actual sleeping stage. If I am just going straight to sleep, it is usually a pair of sleep pants or boxers and a mans tank type T-shirt. My SO says that that shows off my, uhhh, muscles. Yeaah....

Naked naked always. Even in the coldest weather. I have a down comforter with a down pillow top mattress so toasty warm I am! And if it is hot, I just use a thinner comforter and stick my feet out.

warm weather -- gym shorts
cold weather -- pajama pants
very cold weather -- add a tee shirt

I can't sleep naked unless inebriated or...you know...

I HATE flannel sheets. Might as well be sleeping on velcro.

Try satin shorts, George. You'll slide right off the flannel, onto the floor.

I know. Embarrassed

I prefer clean, crisp white sheets.

The Lovely Bride actually bought me some satin shorts once.
But since she switches over to flannel sheets at about the
same time that I switch to pj bottoms, I never experienced
"the sliding effect".
