Which is clearer:
The job is still on hold waiting for them to let us know when they are ready to proceed.
or
The job is still on hold while we are waiting for them to let us know when they are ready to proceed.

@dabbadabba,
The job is still on hold while we are waiting for them to let us know when they are ready to proceed is clearer than the other, however my suggestion is to alter it to The job is still on hold, however we are waiting for them to let us know when they are ready to proceed. It makes it a little easier to read.
